About Luton Town Football Club

Luton Town Football Club is a professional football club in Luton, Bedfordshire, England. It competes at the highest level of English football, the Premier League. It was established back in 1885.

The club is affectionately referred to as the Hatters, owing to the town’s historical association with the hat-making industry. Since 1905, their home ground has been Kenilworth Road.

The club has a rich history, marked by an impressive trophy win, many challenges, and several financial hurdles. From 1982 to 1992, they held a place in the First Division, and in 1988, they rose to prominence for clinching the Football League Cup. The transition of the Pre-Academy Players through to the Academy is at the forefront of the club’s vision and strategy. Luton Town’s Academy has, in recent years, become a part of The Club’s rich history.  The Academy offers a programme from U9s – –-18s with players beginning their journey with the Club as early as 6 years old.  

Syllabus At Luton Town FC Academy

The training programme at Luton Town FC Academy is divided into technical and tactical training, with a special module for Goalkeepers. The Academy is divided into three key phases:

  • The Foundation Phase – U7-11
  • The Youth Development Phase – U12-16
  • The Professional Development Phase – U17-18

To stand a chance for the scholarship, you must first be scouted for a trial at Luton Town FC Academy. To get scouted, you should provide the following documents.

  • Football CV
  • Covering Letter
  • Player Vital Statistics: Player position, Age, Date of Birth, Height, Weight, contact email/phone/address, current club, previous clubs, details of any trials already attended, any representative honors such as school, districts, county etc.
  • Fixture list of your current team, including location and kick-off time to be passed to scout
