Requirements for Applying to Newcastle United Football Club Scholarship

To get a scholarship:

  • – The Newcastle Youth Football & Cheer Scholarship Review Committee will decide which applications get scholarships.

Newcastle United Football Club Scholarship

We’ve teamed up with Newcastle College and the National Football Youth League to create an awesome opportunity for talented 16 to 18-year-olds. This program lets them study while getting practical football experience, bridging the gap between grassroots and academy soccer.

Our skilled coaches, with UEFA A to B licenses, are getting ready for drop-in sessions and pre-season training in July. This prepares for the next group joining the Men’s Football and Education Post-16 Development Programme.

Our Scholarship lasts 2 to 3 years and includes both education and soccer training. We work with professional and smaller league clubs to give players a well-rounded experience. We aim to offer lots of chances and experiences to help players grow on and off the field. We want to develop not just their soccer skills but also them as individuals.
