Chevening Scholarship requirements

Chevening Scholarship provides opportunities for people who have the capacity to inspire, educate, and impact a good chance to study at a UK institution and earn a UK degree. These programs are funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organizations.

Chevening Scholars do research in practically any discipline and then use their innovations to make a difference in a variety of industries. They return home when their time spent studying in the UK is done and join our worldwide network of more than 50,000 alumni.

Chevening Scholarship requirements

• Citizen of a territory or nation that is eligible for Chevening.
• The UG program must be finished before applying to the PG program at a UK university.
• Higher second-class 2:1 honours or its equivalent must have been earned.
• Offer of unconditional admission from one of the UK’s universities.
• After the award has been completed, the recipient must return home for at least two years.
• Two years or more of professional experience, meeting the English language criterion for Chevening.
• Other tests for admission to UK universities.
